Dunbar Power Project
Dunbar Power is a planned 1.4 GW natural gas-fired power project in Fayette County, Pennsylvania, approximately 35 miles south of Pittsburgh, near Uniontown. EmberClear has partnered with a large infrastructure fund to develop the project on an 837-acre site with M1–M2 zoning for industrial and power generation uses.
The project has secured a position in PJM’s Cycle 1 interconnection queue, and air permitting is underway. The planned interconnection is to First Energy’s 500 kV transmission system approximately 12 miles from the site. Existing water, sewer, natural gas, and electrical infrastructure provides a strong foundation for development. The site also offers opportunities for data center development alongside the power facility.
The nearby TETCO gas hub, approximately two miles from the site, connects six major pipelines ranging from 30 to 36 inches in diameter, supporting access to substantial natural gas supply.
EmberClear has identified an EPC contractor and is advancing equipment procurement. The project targets a final investment decision in the second quarter of 2028 and commercial operation in the second quarter of 2031.
